SUV一直以实用、家用为目的，以至于心中有个性能梦的车主在喜欢驾驶乐趣跟家庭的纷纷只能选择适合家庭来作为购车目标，但随着近几年SUV的热潮，各大车企纷纷推出SUV的性能版将SUV的性能以及乐趣无限接近跑车以及小钢炮。
其中宝马的高性能SUV除了X5、X6M就再无拿的出手的性能SUV，反观奔驰的AMG43/63奥迪的RS6“买菜车”等等都早已在车迷中建立了自己的形象，今日宝马X3、X4M车型被宝马宣布正式进入高性能SUV行列。
既然是高性能那么宝马的操控是无需质疑了，搭载3.0T的S58全新引擎最大功率达到480匹马力以及500牛米扭矩，而更强的雷霆版本达到510匹600牛米扭矩，加速仅为4.1s，配合宝马自家的操控调教相信是一款非常好玩的中型性能SUV。
内饰随处可见的M系标识，以及红色的按键无一不显示这车能带给你多强悍的性能，M方向盘当然也出现在此套内饰中，还有大量碳纤维件进行点缀。
X3、X4M在外观上比普通版本增加了空力套件，还有电子控制的四出排气阀门系统，20寸轮毂，厂家还提供一堆碳纤维部件作为选配
另外新车配备M xDrive智能全轮驱动系统，可后驱四驱两种模式切换，可以说是想怎么玩就怎么玩。
但即使宝马X3、X4M推出了可能也只是丰富自家产品，它的对手AMG glc 63百公里加速3.8s，还有阿尔法罗密欧的Stelvio QV这款纽北最速量产SUV作为对手，也只能看看宝马X3/4M到时候能做出什么样的成绩了
