电动车的急速发展可以说是近几年以来的大趋势，几年内国内的电动车发展迅猛，成为了一个拥有巨大缺口的新兴行业。因此，有不少人说：”化石能源可能会即将迎来终结。” 化石能源，顾名思义，是由古代生物的化石沉积而来的一次性能源，主要包含的天然资源有煤炭，石油和天然气，而内燃机一般指的就是通过燃烧化石能源产生动力的热力发动机。目前市场上在售的汽车大部分都是内燃机车，在最近几年间，内燃车真的会走向终结么？
2018年，全世界的汽车销量都近乎饱和。在经历了几年创纪录式的增长，中国、欧洲和美国的汽车销售逐渐趋于稳定。从2018年夏天起，全世界主要市场的新车销量都在下降，关于这一点，有海外汽车行业专家宣称，”未来汽车市场将不会再增加”。
与此相对的是，许多业内人士都对新能源车的市场成长给予了极大的肯定，据埃森哲全球汽车业务推算，在2019年新能源车的市场份额将上升至1.6%，抵消了汽车销量的下滑。而电动汽车的大部分增长，至少在短期内，主要的上升点将会发生在中国市场，中国的汽车制造商正在投入大量资金用于新能源车的研发。
而美国和欧洲的汽车制造商多年来一直在生产新能源车，虽然却很少出售。去年5月，AAA的一项调查发现，20%的受访者表示他们的下一辆车将会选择新能源车， 比2015年的15%环比增长了33%。也有媒体在对现有的电动车车主们进行调查后发现，现有新能源车的车主对他们选择了EV这一点非常满意。在回收的7700份问卷中，88%的新能源车车主表示，他们永远不会再回去驾驶汽车。
虽然国内车主选择新能源车的理由大部分是因为环保和限号、补贴等多方面因素，但是其中也有很多车主确实认为，新能源车能够更好的适应未来的发展趋势。在国内的补贴政策扶持下，国内的电动车目前可以满足各个阶层人群购买电动车的需求，在新能源产业这方面，国内的汽车产业确实可以说走在了世界的前列。
虽然说唱衰新能源的声音也不少，但是插座君认为，我们对待新能源应该怀着理性的态度。插座君曾与不少电动车主进行交流，其实大多数车主在充电价格和驾驶感受上还是比较满意的，主要的问题出在续航里程与电池的更换上，因此说短时间之内化石能源也不可能迎来终结并不合理。
然而对于市场与企业来说，向新能源领域转变在未来可能确实会成为”刚需”，随着燃油车的需求逐渐饱和，越来越多有驾驶需求的消费者必然会向新能源方向转变。不少企业已经开始了激进的转型，比如承诺在2025年实现全车型电动化的大众汽车。对于车企而言，尽早入局才是最好的选择。
