最近有外媒曝光了一组大众全新T-Roc R的谍照，国内称之为探歌R。
新车的外观部分延续了探歌的设计语言，辨识度还是比较高的，但是两侧的雾灯区域改成了通风口，能够给前轮刹车系统提供冷却。
侧面线条变化不大，轮圈尺寸更大，双五幅的设计非常运动，黑色的刹车卡钳略显低调。
车尾比较显眼的设计是双边四出的排气，还是非常运动的，上方有高位刹车灯，LED尾灯组比较有辨识度。
动力方面，探歌R将会搭载与高尔夫R相同的EA888系列2.0T发动机，最大马力达到300匹，最大扭矩380牛·米，匹配四驱系统以及7速DSG变速箱，0-100km/h加速预计在5秒左右。
按计划，新车将在2019年的日内瓦车展正式首发，未来有望引入国内销售。
