小时候跟着父亲修卡车，跑前跑后地递板手，认识了不少卡车零部件。如今随着卡车技术进步，很多早期卡车上的老物件，年轻司机们都不认识了。
早期的卡车是汽油机，压缩比小，需要用摇把启动点火。这个就是卡车的“钥匙”小时候见过很多人被这个把胳膊、下巴打伤。
机械式分电器，里面有一老司机常说的“白金”，很娇贵，坏了需要用白金砂条或者纸币来修理。
化油器，现在的电喷发动机已经彻底告别化油器。
早期的卡车没有空调，把这个门打开，可以把车头的风引进车内。这个玩意儿可以在驾驶室内控制开启，伴随着风进来的噪音也挺大的。
循环球转向机，不带助力，打方向盘特别费劲。
拖车钩，早期国内盛行全挂车，很多车都带这种拖车钩。
最后这个玩意更不常见了，它是国外50年代之前采用的转向灯。
采用气压控制，转向的时候弹出来，示意别的车辆转向方向。
