广汽本田在2016年底上市了旗下尺寸最大的SUV——冠道，这款车是品牌冲击中型SUV市场的重要产品。目前该车已经销售超过3年的时间，临近中期改款的节点。网上车市获得了新款冠道的实车图片以及车型信息。新车相比现款有所加长，长度更加接近丰田汉兰达以及福特锐界等车型，动力方面搭载升级到国六排放标准的1.5T以及2.0T发动机，预计明年上半年正式上市。
冠道主打的是“大5座”SUV概念，对于车内空间更为看重。新款冠道也延续了现有产品的优势，维持了2820mm的轴距，超过大众途观L以及丰田汉兰达，并且在此基础上提升了车长。不过车身长度的变化主要集中在前后保险杠以及尾排等方面，对于提升乘坐空间没有太大作用。从数据上看，新款冠道的车身长度更加接近福特锐界和丰田汉兰达等同级车型。
动力方面，新款冠道仍然搭载1.5T以及2.0T发动机，并提供两驱或四驱版本。现款冠道仅有1.5T车型提供国六版本，在部分城市已经停售2.0T车型，一定程度上影响了该车的销量成绩。而例如丰田汉兰达、福特锐界以及大众途观L等竞品都已经全系覆盖国六车型。此次改款后，冠道2.0T车型也有了国六版本，并且最大功率没有降低，仍为200kW。新车上市后将恢复冠道的车系阵容，提升在同级产品中的竞争力。
