全新A6L使用了奥迪最新的设计语言，整体风格与A8L、A7类似，标志性的六边形进气格栅尺寸更大、前包围的线条也更加锋利，整体视觉效果要年轻了不少。并且全新A6L也和5系、E级相同，推出了偏向商务造型的致雅型和偏向运动的动感型两种设计套装以满足不同消费者的需求。
灵动的双腰线设计给A6L带来了飘逸的侧面造型，虽然是长轴距车型，但看上去依然十分协调。车尾设计相对于车头要内敛不少，没有那么强的“杀气”，不过作为一台豪华商务座驾所应有的气场还是具备的。
新A6L将会使用2.0T和3.0T两款发动机，其中2.0T根据调校不同，分为高低功率版本，并搭载12V混动系统，3.0T车型则引入了48V混动系统，传动系统均为7速双离合器变速箱。
迪家族这套最新的内饰三屏设计可以说将车内的科技感提升到了一个新的高度，同时也带来了另一种对豪华的诠释。12.3英寸可编程仪表盘有着细腻且全面的显示效果，中控台上的10.1+8.6英寸触摸屏，无论反应速度还是运行流畅度上都无可挑剔，可以改变人们对于触屏操作不方便的印象了。
作为换代车型，全新A6L在产品力上展现出了十足的诚意，全新的设计语言、提升明显的行驶品质，自身做足了打硬仗的准备。其售价和E级、5系相比，在价格上具有一定优势，并且摆脱“官车”形象之后对于年轻消费者的吸引力也更强。
