根据日本Best Car网站报指出,Toyota丰田汽车与旗下高级车品牌Lexus未来多款新车都将共用Mazda 马自达汽车研发中的全新后轮驱动设定底盘平台,以及Skyactiv-X直列式6缸引擎。
Best Car表示,Toyota丰田汽车旗下第一辆搭载Mazda底盘的车款可能会是日本与特定亚洲市场专属的全新世代Mark X Sedan性能房车。高级车品牌Lexus也可能使用同一具底盘平台打造出定位介于RC与LC之间的全新双门轿跑车,而Toyota与Mazda之间的底盘共用计画还不仅如此而已。
据说下个世代的Lexus IS四门房车与RC双门轿跑车都将搭载Toyota丰田汽车的TNGA全球模组化底盘,而当这两款车再次改款时(估计2026年之后),便会选用Mazda 马自达汽车研发中的大型车后轮驱动设定底盘平台以及Skyactiv-X直列式6缸引擎。
新世代Toyota与Lexus将与Mazda共用底盘平台与6缸引擎的传闻听起来确实让人有所怀疑,但随着越来越多汽车产业间互相合作案例的出现,而Toyota丰田汽车也已多次与其他车厂共用底盘(例如Toyota 86与Supra),因此与Mazda 马自达汽车共用底盘的传闻也绝非空穴来风。
Mazda 马自达汽车曾于今年5月间向外界证实团队正在研发一系列顶级车款的汽油与柴油Skyactiv-X直列式6缸引擎。这些动力系统将可搭配后轮驱动与四轮驱动的设定。研发Skyactiv-X直列式6缸引擎与全新大尺寸底盘平台对 Mazda 马自达来说,都将是一笔庞大费用。因此,如果 Mazda 马自达汽车将零件卖给 Toyota与Lexus的话,便能降低成本费用。
