网上车市从美国汽车媒体获得了一组宝马全新M3的路试图。新车基于宝马CLAR平台打造，外观上相比普通版3系加入了大量外观套件。动力方面，预计该车将搭载全新3.0T发动机（三种不同调校），动力远超现款车型，将于今年内发布，明年正式上市。
全新宝马M3基于普通版3系打造，外观上采用最新的家族式前脸设计，开眼角大灯配合双肾进气格栅，M包围套件满足更好的空气动力学设计。新车基于CLAR平台打造，车身采用了更多的铝合金、高强度钢、碳纤维等轻量化材料。并且该车前后轴配重保持在50：50的比例，进一步降低整车质心高度，提高操控性和稳定性。
动力方面，新车预计搭载全新调教的3.0T双涡轮增压直列六缸发动机，根据车型不同，最大功率分别为331kW、353kW以及368kW，顶配版动力超过现款M3 CS，传动系统匹配8速手自一体变速箱。此外，全新M3或将提供后驱和xDrive四驱版车型。
