提起汽车的安全配置，我们首先想到的是安全带还有安全气囊，安全带就不用说保质期了，一般情情况下都不会因为汽车年限为题出现过期，但是气囊是有保质期的，超过保质期是有非常大的安全隐患的。
这里值得一提的是，如果出现严重的交通事故，如果没有系安全带，安全气囊其实就是汽车上的一个隐形杀手，气囊是以炸裂般的速度弹出的，如果没有系安全带就会直接撞上正弹出的气囊，头部和胸部会受到严重的伤害。 还有安全气囊弹出时表面的瞬间温度能达到90度。可能你的脸就会被严重灼伤，而且囊弹出后会造成包括气囊装置本身、安全气囊的方向盘、仪表盘、甚至挡风玻璃的损坏。他只是一个一次性的安全配置，所以安全气囊必须和安全带配套使用，不然就不叫安全气囊，而是一颗车载炸弹！
首先安全气囊的结构比起安全带的结构要复杂得多，先说说它的触发原理：首先由安全气囊传感器接收撞击信号，只要达到规定的强度，传感器即产生动作并向电子控制器发出信号。电子控制器接收到信号后，与其原存储信号进行比较，如果达到气囊展开条件，则由驱动电路向气囊组件中的气体发生器送去起动信号。气体发生器接到信号后引燃气体发生剂，产生大量气体，经过滤并冷却后进入气囊，使气囊在极短的时间内突破衬垫迅速展开，在驾驶员或乘员的前部形成弹性气垫，并及时泄漏、收缩，吸收冲击能量，在理论上讲，汽车一般在30km每小时的速度发生撞击，安全气囊就会弹出。
所以安全气囊的本生的结构复杂，技术含量较高，越复杂的东西就越容易出现问题，虽然现在的车对安全气囊的技术已经是非常成熟，但是它依然是有保质期的，一般情况下对安全气囊的保质期规定不低于15年，但是规定是死的人是活的嘛，一般的汽车厂家都不可能保证一个15年的车安全气囊还能正常工作。
所以一般汽车使用了8到10年一般就要去彻底检查，安全气囊是否还能正常使用，如果有问题就必须更换，毕竟谁也猜不到会不会发生意外，生命只有一次，行车安全不是儿戏，有年头的老车特别要注意，希望各位朋友一定要引起重视！
