现在家家户户都有了小汽车，但真正懂车的人还不是非常多，尤其是各种档位对于女性朋友来说更是非常的复杂，让不少人在生活中闹了大笑话。了解自动挡的朋友都知道，车上挡把都标有P（停车）、R（倒挡）、N（空挡）、D（前进）挡位，除了这些常见的挡位，出现在车上的还有M（手动模式）和L（低速挡），不少自动挡汽车都有S挡，但很多车主都没用过，基本都是D挡到底。因为他们根本就不知道它到底有什么用？什么情况下才能使用？自动挡车主请注意！别再把“S档”当摆设了，它的功能可不少！
首先和大家说说S挡的含义，它在自动挡中是表示运动的含义，就是当车辆挂入S挡后，汽车的模式就会变成了运动模式，这样的状态下可以使汽车在驾驶过程中更具运动感，而且在加速上更加的灵活，动力也就更强，这是因为在S挡的状态下，汽车的喷油量会增大，此时加速感也就会更加的明显。
而且使用S档上坡更有力。经常把停在地下车库的车主应该会注意到，出车库要经过一个很长很高的坡，相信很多车主在爬坡时都会使用D档，但是使用S档来上坡更有劲了，上坡也变得更容易了。另外，对于正常行驶的车辆来说，D档是可以直接换到S档的，并不需要踩刹车或者松油门。
并且挂着S挡，能在短时间里增加发动机的负荷，温度升高，有利于清除发动机内的积碳，增加燃油经济性，提高发动机寿命。但是要注意的也是，挂S挡的话，耗油量也是很大的，也会磨损变速箱，所以一般老司机们在完成超车或者是爬坡后，都会迅速将挡调回D挡，这样实惠使用。所以，S挡是为运动而生的，而D挡到底的驾驶模式未免太过无聊。但使用S挡的原则还是应该灵活、适时。
