根据官方放出的预告图来看，新车外观设计线条简化精炼。前脸在吉利标志性水滴涟漪格栅的基础上做了全新演绎，融合圆角矩形元素叠加进行意向化处理，这也与车身棱角分明的线条相得益彰。圆角矩形元素也出现在隐藏式门把手的设计中，可见每一个细节都高度还原了概念车的设计语言。
吉利通过这款全新SUV带来的超前设计风格，无论在整体还是细节，都表达着对未来设计的理解，同时也代表着全新车型将延续概念车的超现实科技风，更是对吉利家族化设计语言的一次突破性的探索。
根据此前工信部公布的申报信息，新车长宽高分别为4350/1810/1615mm，轴距为2640mm。配置方面，新车将根据版本的不同在外后视镜、轮圈、天窗、外观装饰件、摄像头、雷达等处有所差异。
内装方面该车配有三幅平底多功能方向盘，主打运动感。仪表盘和中控屏幕或将为少见的设计样式，预计将配备全液晶仪表，此外还将带有电子挡杆。
吉利SX12搭载1.5T发动机，最大功率130kW（177PS），峰值扭矩255N·m，传动系统预计匹配7速双离合变速箱。未来该车或推出轻混动和插电混动版本。
简评：不得不承认，吉利近几年的发展势头还是非常凶猛的，单从超前超现实的外观设计语言就能看出，吉利欲打破现代汽车产品“同质化”、“跟风式”设计造车的勇气和决心。同时也向外界展示出，吉利具备了引领中国品牌的全球化设计水平和雄厚功底。预计上市后新车将成为吉利布局SUV细分市场的又一重磅利器，重新定义中国汽车设计风潮，树立时代新ICON。
