现在，经济收入提高了，生活水平提升了，考驾照的难度也更加严格，就连道路上的交通法规也变得越来越苛刻。所以，驾驶证规定了一个记分周期只有12分来约束驾驶员，由此可见大家平时在开车的时候，小心谨慎，生怕驾驶证被扣分。可是有的时候由于对交通法规不是很了解。
不知不觉行驶在某个路段的时候就被抓拍扣分了，这也是很多驾驶员有的问题。尤其是再通过一些十字路口的时候，对于信号的指示很迷茫，也很容易搞混。于是就有车友提出疑问：左转车道是红灯的情况下，能不能掉头？交警：最后再说一次！
根据《道路交通安全法实施条例》第49条中的规定：机动车在有禁止掉头或者禁止左拐标志、标线的地点及铁路道口、人行横道、桥梁、陡坡等容易发生危险的路段，是不可以带哦头行驶的。
要是机动车在没有禁止掉头或者没有禁止左转弯标志、标线的地点，则可以进行掉头行驶，但不可以妨碍正常行驶的其他车辆和行人通行。从这一点可以看出，并没有规定在左转或其它信号灯亮红灯时，车辆可以或不可以掉头。
下面是左拐车道可以掉头的注意事项：
1 停车线前方是虚线（没有掉头灯）
这种情况一般就是没有跨越停止线的时候，看到停止线左侧有虚线，但没有掉头指示灯的情况下，遇到左转车道是红灯的情况下，也是可以掉头的。但需要注意是在虚线处掉头，不可以超过停止线。
2 停止线前是虚线(有掉头灯)
这种情况还是比较少的，一般是在车流量比较大的路口有所设计，只不过对比上面须虚线掉头，这里多了一个虚线掉头有掉头信号灯。看到这种既有虚线，也有掉头指示灯的，千万要遵守信号灯的指示掉头，否则将会直接以闯红灯判断，一下6分200块就没有了。
3 停止线前是实线(没掉头灯)
这种道路就是既没有虚线，也没有掉头指示，遇到这种情况必须过了停止线才能掉头，并且要按照左转弯的红绿灯来掉头。
4 停止线前是实线(有掉头灯)
这种情况是停止线前是实线，并且设置了掉头灯，遇到这种情况很简单，只要按照掉头指示灯，然后过了停止线掉头即可。
5 有禁止掉头或禁止左转标识
无论是只有禁止掉头还是只有禁止左转，其实都不可以掉头！这里涉及到一个知识点：掉头=两次左转。所以在道路禁止左转的情况下，也一定是不允许掉头的。根据交通法规：有禁止掉头标识的情况下掉头属于违反禁令标志指示行驶，扣3分，罚款200元人民币。
6 禁止在人行横道掉头
车辆一定不能在人行横道进行左转弯，否则也当是违规处理，照样扣分罚钱！很多人平时都没有注意这一点，大家记住了！
