很多司机对超车的概念就是超过前车，这种理解有一定的片面。在交通法里的“超车”是这样解释的：在同一车道车道行驶的后车，超越前车，并且回到原车道，始终在同一车道内行驶，才是超车。
实际超车过程中总会遇到各种意外，比如前车不让、被加塞、超车人不打转向灯等等。这里老司机提醒，超车是要靠技巧的，不只是踩油门！下面就来说说超车技巧。
超车前：看路况
在超车前，驾驶人应该知道自己车辆和周围车辆的状况，观察前车是否也要超车或者刹车等等具体情况，以及通过后视镜观察超车道上有无后续车辆、车与车之间的行驶距离等等。在满足超车条件后方可超车。
超车中：发信号、果断超车
在满足超车情况的下，发出超车信号，鸣笛、打转向灯提醒前后方车辆自己要超车。如果是晚上超车，还要打开远近光灯交替提醒。在超车时一脚油门、一把方向，迅速向左行驶，加速、并线、超车，回到原车道，超车完成。
超车的宗旨在于胆大心细，够果断，够迅速，并且要减少并行时间，打方向、加油、并线一气呵成，这样就是超车的秘籍了！所以在超车之前想一想，没有把握别超车，就不要太勉强！同时要知道超车时还有众多禁忌，下面秀驾通来介绍：
1、不要右侧超车
超车时通常都会选择左边道路，因为左边是快速车道，而且左侧超车也是约定俗成的。如果在右侧超车，视野受限，盲区大，很容易被前车忽视，导致事故发生。
2、不要在弯道、坡顶超车
在很多影视作品中都会有弯道超车的镜头，但在实际驾驶中可不要体验，在弯道无法看清对向车道是否有来车，不具备超车条件，减速跟车过弯后再超车。在坡顶超车也同理。
3、会车时不要超车
如果前方会车，在150m内距离较近，如果超车很有可能发生刮擦碰撞，不具备超车条件，所以待会车结束后再超车。
4、在交叉路口、人行横道、十字路口处不要超车
在交叉路口、人行横道、十字路口这些位置，路况比较复杂，车流人流较大，如果进行超车很容易发生事故，所以尽量避免超车。
5、前车在超车时，不要超车
如果发现前车正在超车，不要跟随进行超车。这时候你的视线被前车阻挡，很容易与对向车辆发生事故。
6、行车条件不佳时
道路条件不好时，如冰雪路、泥路、坡道、狭路、弯道、桥梁、隧道等，不要超车。
气候条件不好时，如大风台风、大雪、大雨、雾霾等等。
交通条件不好时，如集市门口、学校门口上学放学时。
