宝马在去年发布了全新8系，与其说发布，不如说真正复活，曾经的8系为宝马的发展历史画上了浓墨重彩的一笔。8系于1984年开始研发，1987年正式推出了8系原型车，代号E31。
1989年的法兰克福车展，宝马正式将8系量产车展现在世人眼前，一经亮相便赢得了满堂喝彩。可惜销量差强人意，4年时间8系累计销售超过1.2万台。
1990年，宝马M部门将一台最大功率557马力的6.0L V12发动机塞进了8系，本想以此打造M8。很可惜M8并没有量产。不过我们仍有机会静态欣赏一台宝马E31 M8原型车！
