新一代起亚KX5的外观给人第一感觉就是年轻，缩小了头灯的面积之后给人感觉更加犀利，与Y型蜂窝进气格栅相得益彰，而且LED头灯的加入也更加具有科技感。
从车身侧面看，整车长宽高约为4480mm*1855mm*1655mm，轴距约2670mm，前发动机盖隆起的线条十分具有攻击性，与较大改变的前脸相比，新KX5的侧面并没有什么太大的变化，看上去中规中矩。
新一代KX5搭载百度Apollo人工智能车联网技术支持的小度车载OS娱乐系统，车主可以用语音实现查天气、读新闻等需求，还可以通过语音指令控制汽车门窗、天窗、空调等……可以说，未来，新一代KX5在满足消费者智能互联的需求上，一定会超越很多同级车型。
动力方面没有令大家失望，新款KX5海外版车型将搭载1.6L和2.0T柴油发动机，国内车型预计与现款车型保持一致，传动匹配7速双离合变速箱。转速方面，虽然排量增至2.0L，但变速箱只有6个挡位，最终120km/h的转速被控制在了2500rpm。
车喇叭点评：新款起亚KX5拥有比以往起亚款式更加时尚的设计与造型，并且随着涡轮增压发动机的加入，性能方面的表现也有了明显提升，至于空间和配置则一向是韩系车的看家本领。
